10.00 Arrival in Schwanden, Canton Glarus

Geological walking-tour with several stops where the local geologist, Dr. Marc Feldmann, will give information about the geology and local history. The walking-tour ends at the famous Lochsite in Schwanden, which is a part of the UNESCO World Heritage.

13.00 – 14.30 Lunch in the restaurant Adler, Schwanden that belongs to one of the best-known breweries in Switzerland.
14.30 – 16.30

Trip through the beautiful landscape of Canton Glarus. We will stop at interesting places, such as the Berglistüber-waterfall.

Equipment and requirements:For the walking-tour you need clothing and footwear suitable to the weather conditions. The walking-tour is on well-kept paths, mostly flat along the streams of Linth and Sernf. There is a short rise that will take us about 30 minutes (if taken easily).
